Who We Are

KJ Remodeling and Design is owned by Kent and Joline Emert.

Kent grew up in the green chili capital of the world, New Mexico.  His entire adult life has been spent in the construction trades with over 40 years of experience.  Those experiences include concrete and foundation experience, metal and wood framing, custom cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, electrical, drywall, texture, paint coatings, siding and roofing. 

He has also owned and operated a successful retail flooring store where maintaining great relationships with his clients, the vendors and building contractors became second nature.  His biggest focus was in the operations, working with the installers making sure the flooring his customers purchased were installed according to industry standards and assured his clients that "their" homes were the companies priority.   

Kent has always enjoyed wood working and more than just a few know he is a master craftsman.  His off time is most generally spent in his wood shop creating hand made home furnishings, custom cabinetry and wood artwork.

Joline is a first generation Italian American and is a Washington State native.  She grew up in the Mount Baker area of Seattle where her mother still resides today and maintains her personal connections to the people and the city itself with true heart.  

She has spent over 20 years building a start up business and found true success helping to grow her company to the 4th largest nationwide.  She is a woman who brings all the professionalism to the company and is solely responsible for our companies growth.  Her ideas and consistant input in every aspect of our business is paramount to our success as well as the outcome of our clients projects.

Kent and Joline love and share a very happy and eclectic family.  With three daughters, two sons and ten grandchildren, their free time is filled with family and friends.
